The Greens
were already doing a lot (especially comparative to others), but were also
found to be very open to extend behaviours - mostly in areas they know little about.
The way things are going people need to start taking notice and do their
bit, I wish I could do more
[Male, B, 26-35, Cohabit/No Kids, Caerphilly, Green]
Despite being already
very green, some new behaviours were learned about in the
process of the research and there was a high level of willingness to consider and adopt
quite a wide range, depending on personal circumstances, they included:
- Alternative fuels, having more environmentally
friendly fuel/ solar and switching
electricity provider or switching to a green tariff
- Metering for some, but primarily for water rather
than electricity
- Dispose of more things in an environmentally friendly
way, such as
paint/batteries, as little was known about less mainstream/occasional items
- Water efficient products, for example dual flush
toilets and efficient washing
machines
- Food and purchasing, such as fish from sustainable
stocks, farmers market/
seasonal food/local food, plus environmentally friendly products
I want to do more. I dont know what is biodegradable. If there
was a chart

Transport behaviours included
switch fuel choice and considering hire car/ lift-share
schemes as well as a hybrid/electrical car.
